Kanatir Kinetics designs uncrewed aircraft and the mission software that runs on them. The work is engineering that has to survive contact with real hardware, real power, real timing and real field conditions, and be documented well enough that someone can check it.

Who this is for

- Current and recent students, undergraduate through PhD, in engineering, computer science, physics or a related discipline. If your programme has a co-op, capstone or internship stream, tell us and we will work with your placement coordinator.
- Career changers with adjacent technical experience: instrumentation, field engineering, broadcast, telecommunications, laboratory work, aviation maintenance. Rigour transfers. Domain knowledge can be taught.
- Experienced and retired engineers who want defined, part-time technical work with a clear scope. Depth is welcome and the work will reflect it.
The work

- Preparing and managing datasets, splits and provenance labelling
- Building and maintaining test fixtures
- Running sensor capture sessions on the bench and in the field
- Indexing evidence and keeping the traceability matrix current
- Bench and laboratory setup for measurement runs
- Technical documentation and delivery evidence packages
What we need
Care with detail, and the honesty to flag when something did not work. Some Python and comfort on the Linux command line. Everything else we can teach, provided you want to be taught.
